Back in the 70's at the Classical Guitar Store in Philadelphia, I played this piece for a fine Colombian guitarist by the name of Antonio Cobo. He commented that it was pegajoso meaning contagious. Classical guitarist, Linda Cohen played the piece around the Philadelphia area for years.
This piece is in a German baroque style, tedesco being the Italian word for German.
A stately counterpoint piece. The first section is minor and the second major.
Fun time - changing time signatures, diminished bass line, pentatonic melody, and major 7th b5 chords changing in fourths for the bridge.
Played without a break and based on a 12 tone row from Dennis Sandole. I had just played some original pieces on classical guitar for Dennis when he jotted down a row and said "here, fool around with this".
